Overview

Term: Two Years

 

The University of Waterloo has embarked upon a program to implement Workday as the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).  As a member of the Information Systems and Technology (IST) Team, the Workday System Analyst will leverage their HRIS and Workday knowledge to support the integrations, configuration, reporting and migration. 

 

This is a two-year contract, subject to renewal, for this multi-year program.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a part of the blended internal/external project team to support the successful migration to Workday. The specific responsibilities will vary depending on the project phase and needs identified by project leadership.
  • Work closely with functional areas and campus stakeholders to test and implement efficient solutions while meeting deadlines.
  • Lead and support project deliverables around integration, planning, testing, migration and support.
  • Provide Workday guidance to internal technical teams that are new to Workday.

Qualifications

  • University degree, or equivalent post-secondary education and/or essential experience required with 5+ years of HRIS experience in complex environments.
  • Workday technical knowledge in Human Resources with integrations, configuration and workflow is an asset
  • Knowledge of Workday Core HCM and Payroll is an asset
  • Knowledge of Workday Time and/or Absence are assets
  • Experience building integrations, complex workflows and complex reports
  • Advanced systems analysis skills, as well as comprehensive experience implementing and supporting complex information systems
  • Proven ability to leverage strong leadership competencies in support of providing excellent client service
  • Advanced level understanding of system integration and configuration
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, organizational, research and analytical skills with proven ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and third party vendors with tact and diplomacy
  • Must work as part of a team within a busy and dynamic environment, with experience managing multiple tasks at once
