The Information Systems & Technology (IST) department at the University of Waterloo provides information systems, technology, and services in support of teaching, learning, research, and administrative needs across campus. Within IST, the Enterprise Systems (ES) team provides technical support for several information systems, including the Workday human resource management system, and the Unit4 financial system. The ES team collaborates with partners across campus to deliver services supporting the academic mission of the University.

The Enterprise Systems team in IST is seeking a Project Manager who will be responsible for leading and managing projects within the scope of expanding the university’s use of the Workday platform. This role will be responsible for directly managing the suite of projects in scope of the expansion program, and will work with the Product Manager, HR and Manager, ES to align the individual project activities with the overall roadmap and IT strategy. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for partnership development, communication and collaboration across diverse internal and external stakeholders. The PM is ultimately responsible for the success of assigned projects/programs and accountable for applying scaled processes and flexible techniques to manage the team(s) and the work required. The PM is expected to demonstrate a diverse skillset within their role, as they are sometimes asked to assist with business analysis, change management, continuous improvement, and other activities to ensure success. The PM will build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients within the University culture.
