Term: 2 Years
The Curriculum & Assessment Facilitator oversees activities related to the development of, and revisions to, undergraduate and graduate programs in the Faculty of Science. Curriculum development, program revisions (e.g., right-sizing) and assessment (e.g., IQAP) have both been identified as strategic priorities for the Faculty of Science. Organized management and oversight of the curriculum development and revision process, and program assessment are critical to enrolment growth, financial sustainability, and maintaining rigorous educational standards and national accreditation status. The Facilitator provides high-level support in both portfolios.
The Curriculum & Assessment Facilitator’s scope of work includes day-to-day management of program development and revision in the Faculty of Science as well as special projects important to the long-term goals of enrolment growth and strategic enrolment management. The Facilitator works toward efficient process management across all their responsibilities and integrates with main campus systems as it applies to program development and revision. The Facilitator will also provide support for the Indigenous Initiatives Advisory Council and other groups related to Indigenous program and course development, requiring cultural sensitivity and confidence in interacting with senior University leadership.
The Curriculum & Assessment Facilitator reports to the Dean of Science and takes academic direction in terms of the curriculum development and revision from the Chairs and Directors through the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning.
